Custom Music:
Geoff Lloyd's Friendzone
Hundred Hand Slap was commissioned by Virgin Radio UK to create the sonic identity and theme music for Geoff Lloyd's Friendzone podcast.
Hosted by Geoff Lloyd, Friendzone is a celebrity interview podcast built around curiosity, humour and genuine conversation. The brief was to create a distinctive musical world that reflected Geoff's playful personality and conversational style, while providing the production team with a flexible toolkit that could be used throughout each episode and across promotional content.
While the music needed to establish its own identity, it also had to feel at home within the wider Virgin Radio UK brand. To achieve this, we developed a bespoke theme built around quirky indie influences, combining guitars, live-feeling instrumentation and upbeat rhythmic energy with Geoff's trademark sense of fun and curiosity.
Alongside the main theme, we delivered a complete suite of supporting assets including openers, talk-over beds, stings, transitions and social edits, giving producers a consistent sonic palette to build each episode around.
The result is a distinctive audio brand that helps define Friendzone from the very first seconds, creating a recognisable and cohesive sound across podcast platforms, promotional content and social media.
