Podcast Production

The Basics

What is podcast production?

Podcast production is everything that happens between a recording and a finished episode ready to publish. At its simplest that's editing, mixing, and mastering. At its most involved it's the whole sonic world: the show theme, the imaging, the sound design, the music score, the episode mix, and the final master. We work across all of it. Whether you need end to end production or just want us to handle specific elements, we can plug in wherever you need us most.

What's the difference between podcast production and podcast imaging?

Podcast production covers the full audio workflow for each episode: dialogue editing, clean up, mixing, sound design, and delivery. Podcast imaging is the brand layer that sits on top of that: the opening sequence, the closing credits, the stings, the transitions, and the idents that make your show feel like a proper production rather than a recording. They work best together, and we offer both.

About Us

Who have you worked with?

We've produced podcasts for some of the biggest names and platforms in the industry. Our credits include True Spies for Wondery, The Woman in Black for Audible, What to Watch for Netflix, Killing It for Spotify, A History of the World in Spy Objects and For Your Ears Only for Spyscape, Land Without a Father, the A to Z of Phil Collins, and How to Win the World Cup for talkSPORT, among others. Across these projects we've handled everything from full episode production and original music composition to Dolby Atmos mixing and show imaging.

Do you only work on big budget productions?

Not at all. While we're proud of our high profile credits, we work across the full spectrum from established shows on major platforms to independent productions and first time podcasters with a great idea and serious ambitions. The level of craft and attention is the same whatever the budget. What matters to us is that every show we touch sounds better than it did before we got involved.

Do you work internationally?

Yes. We work with podcast producers, networks, and brands all over the world. Our global network of composers, sound designers, voice artists, and producers means we can serve projects in multiple languages and across all time zones. If you're making a show for an international audience, we understand what that takes.

What We Create

What scope of podcast projects do you work on?

All of them. From a single episode mix to a full series production, from show imaging and theme music for a new launch to ongoing weekly production support for an established show. We work with independent podcasters, production companies, brands, broadcasters, and platforms. There's no minimum brief and nothing is out of scope.

Do you create podcast imaging and sonic identities?

Yes, and it's one of our great loves. We design the full sonic identity of a show: the opening sequence, the closing theme, the stings, transitions, and idents that give every episode a consistent, confident feel. A great podcast identity is what separates a show that sounds professional from one that sounds like it was put together in an afternoon. We've built them for everything from narrative true crime series to music interview shows and major platform commissions.

Do you compose original music for podcasts?

Absolutely. We write and produce bespoke themes and underscore music tailored to the tone, pace, and narrative of each show. No stock music, no off the shelf tracks repurposed from a library. Every piece is built specifically for your podcast. We've composed everything from tense spy thriller underscore to playful funk and soul themes for sports shows, and everything in between.

Do you handle full episode production?

Yes. We can take on end to end audio production for individual episodes or entire series. That includes dialogue editing, noise reduction and clean up, sound design, foley, music placement, overall mix, and final master ready for your platform of choice. We also work to broadcast level standards, so if your show ever moves to radio or TV, it's already there.

Can you deliver Dolby Atmos mixes?

Yes. For productions that need it, we offer full Dolby Atmos mixing, as we delivered for The Woman in Black on Audible. Immersive audio is increasingly requested by major platforms and it's a significant way to elevate the listening experience for narrative and drama led productions.

Do you produce branded podcasts for companies and agencies?

Yes. Branded podcasting is one of the fastest growing areas of content marketing and we help brands do it properly. From developing the show concept and sonic identity to full episode production and delivery, we work with companies and agencies who want their podcast to feel like premium content rather than a marketing exercise. A well made branded podcast builds genuine audience loyalty. A poorly made one does the opposite.

Can you work with our existing production team?

Absolutely. We're experienced at slotting into existing workflows as a specialist production partner. Whether you need us to handle specific elements like music or sound design while your team manages everything else, or you want us to take on a heavier production load during busy periods, we adapt to how you work rather than asking you to adapt to us.

Pricing & Next Steps

How much does podcast production cost?

It depends on the scope. A single episode mix sits in very different territory to a full series commission with original music, sound design, and Dolby Atmos delivery. We work across all budgets and will always be clear about costs before any work begins. The best first step is a conversation. Get in touch and tell us about your show.

How do I get started?

Just reach out. Tell us about your show, what stage you're at, and what you need help with. We'll come back to you quickly and take it from there.
