Mystic Mates
Hundred Hand Slap was commissioned by Biscuit Jim to create the original theme and sonic identity for Mystic Mates, a brand-new podcast hosted by Call the Midwife star Helen George and Yvette Robinson.
The brief was to create something warm, curious and enchanting - the perfect accompaniment to a journey through tarot, crystals, astrology, tea leaf reading and the many fascinating corners of the mystical world.
Alongside the main theme, we developed a bespoke sonic toolkit featuring a signature flourish, various loopable underscores for dialogue, and a collection of stings designed to give the production team maximum flexibility throughout the series. The result is a distinctive audio identity that's intriguing, inviting and built to work just as hard in the edit as it does in the opening moments of the show.
