Event Audio Production

The Basics

What is event audio?

Event audio is everything your audience hears before, during, and after a live experience. It's the opener that sets the tone the moment the lights drop, the navigation voice overs that guide people through a venue, the halftime mix that keeps energy high, the score that makes a drone show feel like cinema, and the carefully designed soundscape that makes an exhibition feel immersive. Done well, event audio doesn't just accompany a show — it is the show.

What's the difference between event audio and general sound production?

General sound production is about making sure things can be heard. Event audio is about making sure things are felt. It's a creative and compositional discipline as much as a technical one. We design, compose, mix, and deliver audio built specifically for live moments, large scale experiences, and everything in between, with timing, emotion, and crowd energy at the centre of every decision.

About Us

Who have you created event audio for?

Our event audio credits include some of the biggest stages in the world. We created the event opener for Tiësto at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Glasgow, mashed up 34 artists into a single epic opener for BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend featuring Taylor Swift, Muse, and David Guetta, produced the show opener for Above & Beyond's Group Therapy global tour, created the opener for BBC Radio 1's Hackney Weekend featuring George the Poet, scored BBC Radio 1 in Ibiza, and delivered a bespoke series of tournament mixes for the England men's football team for the FA. According to BBC Live Events, if you want big, we are your people.

Do you work on events outside the UK?

Yes. Our work has taken us to stages and screens across the world, and we work with event producers, broadcasters, and brands internationally. Our global network of composers, producers, and sound designers means we can support projects wherever they're happening.

What We Create

What types of event audio projects do you work on?

All of them. Festival openers, halftime show mixes, drone show scores, stadium countdowns, venue navigation voice overs, exhibition and installation soundscapes, touring show audio, branded event experiences, and more. If it happens in front of a live audience and needs to sound exceptional, we can help.

Do you score drone shows?

Yes, and it's one of our specialist areas. Drone show scoring requires precision timing, an understanding of how music maps to visual choreography, and the ability to write and produce music that makes the aerial display feel like a unified piece of art rather than lights with a backing track. We handle the full process from composition through to final delivery in the formats your drone operator needs, ready to play out on the night.

Do you create festival and event openers?

Absolutely. A great event opener is one of the most powerful tools in live production. It sets the tone, builds anticipation, and tells the audience they're in for something special. We've created openers for some of the biggest events in the UK, from BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend to Above & Beyond's Group Therapy world tour, and we bring the same level of craft and ambition to every brief regardless of scale.

Do you mix halftime and DJ sets for events?

Yes. We create high energy halftime mixes, DJ set edits, and custom pyro and performance mixes built for maximum crowd impact. Our mixes are designed specifically for the moment they'll play in — the tempo, the energy arc, the genre, and the emotional journey are all considered. Everything is delivered pre mixed and ready to play out through your system on the day.

Do you create audio for exhibitions and installations?

Yes. Immersive audio for museums, galleries, brand experiences, and permanent or touring installations is a growing part of what we do. Whether it's atmospheric soundscapes, narration design, or fully immersive spatial audio experiences, we create sound that draws people in and makes a space feel alive. We deliver in standard stereo, surround, and full immersive audio formats, all finished and ready for your team to integrate.

Working With Us

When should I bring you in on an event project?

As early as possible. The best event audio happens when sound is part of the creative thinking from the beginning, not something bolted on at the end. Bringing us in at the concept stage means we can help shape the sonic ambition of the whole event, stress test ideas against the space and the audience, and make sure the audio and the visuals are genuinely working together rather than just coexisting. We deliver everything pre show, fully finished and ready for your team to play out on the day.

What formats do you deliver in?

We deliver pre mixed, broadcast ready audio in whatever format your playback system requires. That includes standard stereo, broadcast formats, immersive audio including Dolby Atmos, and system specific stems for live playback. We work closely with your technical team during the delivery stage to make sure everything is correctly formatted, properly labelled, and ready to go without any last minute issues on show day.

Pricing & Next Steps

How much does event audio cost?

Every event is different, which means every quote is different. A drone show score sits in very different territory to a venue navigation voice over package or a halftime mix. What we can tell you is that we work across all scales and budgets, and we'll always be upfront about costs before any work begins. Get in touch and tell us about your event and we'll give you a clear picture of what's involved.

How do I get started?

Just get in touch. Tell us about your event, the scale of it, what you need the audio to do, and when you need it. The earlier you come to us the better, but we're also experienced at working to tight deadlines when the situation demands it. We'll take it from there.
